हनुमान

हनुमान (संस्कृत: हनुमान्, आंजनेय और मारुति भी) परमेश्वर की भक्ति (हिंदू धर्म में भगवान की भक्ति) की सबसे लोकप्रिय अवधारणाओं और भारतीय महाकाव्य रामायण में सबसे महत्वपूर्ण व्यक्तियों में प्रधान हैं। वह कुछ विचारों के अनुसार भगवान शिवजी के ११वें रुद्रावतार, सबसे बलवान और बुद्धिमान माने जाते हैं।^[1] रामायण के अनुसार वे जानकी के अत्यधिक प्रिय हैं। इस धरा पर जिन सात मनीषियों को अमरत्व का वरदान प्राप्त है, उनमें बजरंगबली भी हैं। हनुमान जी का अवतार भगवान राम की सहायता के लिये हुआ। हनुमान जी के पराक्रम की असंख्य गाथाएं प्रचलित हैं। इन्होंने जिस तरह से राम के साथ सुग्रीव की मैत्री कराई और फिर वानरों की मदद से राक्षसों का मर्दन किया, वह अत्यन्त प्रसिद्ध है।

ज्योतिषीयों के सटीक गणना के अनुसार हनुमान जी का जन्म 58 हजार 112 वर्ष पहले तथा लोकमान्यता के अनुसार त्रेतायुग के अंतिम चरण में चैत्र पूर्णिमा को मंगलवार के दिन चित्रा नक्षत्र व मेष लग्न के योग में सुबह 6.03 बजे भारत देश में आज के झारखंड राज्य के गुमला जिले के आंजन नाम के छोटे से पहाड़ी गाँव के एक गुफा में हुआ था।^[2]

इन्हें बजरंगबली के रूप में जाना जाता है क्योंकि इनका शरीर एक वज्र की तरह था। वे पवन-पुत्र के रूप में जाने जाते हैं। वायु अथवा पवन (हवा के देवता) ने हनुमान को पालने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी।
